Adding a Synced Gallery

Portfolio supports syncing individual galleries to either File Sharing, an individual Dropbox folder, or an individual folder on a SFTP server. The syncing is a one-way sync meaning that the gallery is kept fully up-to-date with the contents of the source (e.g., a Dropbox folder) but edits within Portfolio will not be stored back to the source.

Begin by adding a gallery.

Configuring Sync

  1. Tap on the sync configuration button at the top left corner of the gallery manager.
  2. Tap on the gallery in the list. The panel that displays will provide options to enable or disable syncing for the gallery, select the source for the sync, and settings for when it should sync, how it should sort the contents, and any items to exclude from the sync.
  3. Tap the toggle switch on the Enabled row at the top.
  4. Tap on the Target row to select a target. You will be choosing a folder containing the files. The files will not be selectable but will show as a preview of the contents of the folder you're in.
  5. Configure any of the other settings if desired.

If the gallery was configured to automatically sync it will sync at the next interval (currently every 5 minutes). You can also start a manual sync by tapping the double-arrow button in the top right.
